i have to say i've looked all over the web for news on this story, and all i come up with are a lot of people asking why the human didn't just cook that goose and feed the dog.
two comments brought up the possibility the dog accidentally wandered into or too close to a nest, which is why the bird went psycho... i've seen similar behaviour from rufous hummingbirds and red-winged blackbirds during breeding season.
one comment in particular talked about what he would do with the goose, calling it "... a live-action piƱata..."
of course, unless it's hunting season AND goose is on that menu, they are a protected species... however, i have to admit, without knowing anything more about the story, i'd say the goose got off easily...

That is crazy, you can see the goose coming; even at the end when the boat is traveling full speed!!!
