Every year, Seafair and the Blue Angels come together in quite a spectacular way over Lake Washington.
And every year, I try to be in the middle of the action.
This photograph was taken in 2005 from Mercer Island, and I believe the group was flying into a 360-degree loop. The tight formation is incredible to witness; being that close together at those speeds for about one minute would probably require a quick shower and a change in clothing once I came down. :)

pretty amazing shot. at first you are thinking it's like a double image or camera shake, and then you realise, no they are just that tightly overlapped.
wish you had it at higher resolution to do justice to the image on my 24" monitor.. (1920x1200) but that would be overkill for most folks I suppose..
actually, chuck, it doesn't look much different on my 24", unless you want to zoom in tight. the original photo was portrait-situated, but the crop (for effect) was landscape. if you turned your monitor on-edge (like my HP 2408 can do), you can get the full effect of the vertical crop...
perhaps we can work something out for a copy of the original? i'm not averse to receiving money for stuff... :)
